Our Low-Carbon Philosophy: The Art of Slowness
In a world dominated by fast fashion and industrial carbon emissions, we consciously choose the centuries-old hand process—not only to preserve heritage but to protect our planet.
Minimum dependency on Industrial Machinery: Our entire production—from winding the tana (warp), hand dyeing and weaving —is powered by human skill, sunlight, and time. This eliminates the massive carbon footprint of factory automation, electricity-intensive processes, and synthetic finishing.
Localised Sourcing: We source cotton, tussar, and mulberry silk from within India, minimising transport emissions.
Biodegradable & Circular: Every textile we create is made from 100% natural fibres. At the end of its long life, it returns to the earth—unlike polyester and synthetic blends that linger for centuries.
Our Carbon Footprint: By reviving and relying on pre-industrial handloom techniques, Loom to Luxury operates on one of the lowest carbon footprints possible in textile production. We measure our impact in preserved craftsmanship, clean air, and sustained rural livelihoods.
